YOU KNOW THE STRUGGLE of understanding and connecting with today's young people. With the pervasive use of electronics and social media, relentless peer comparison, friendship struggles, bullying, lack of positive social skills, and difficulty bouncing back from challenges, today's children and teens are navigating a vastly different world than the one we grew up in.
Raising seven children, having a background in education, coaching high school athletics for over 10 years, and extensive work with both adults and youth, we've seen firsthand the disconnect between generations.
Adults genuinely want to be there for young people, but today's children and adolescents often feel misunderstood and undervalued. That's why we created our Empower and Inspire: Connecting with Youth for Positive Change program.
This program tackles the many challenges young people face head-on, FOCUSING ON FOSTERING MEANINGFUL CONNECTIONS TO ADDRESS MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES, SUICIDAL IDEATION, AND SUBSTANCE MISUSE. We aim to empower adults to become confident, self-aware, and empathetic figures that young people can trust and turn to in difficult times.
We equip you with strategies and tools for interacting with struggling children and adolescents, helping you adopt a trauma-responsive approach when dealing with challenging youth. Our goal is to help you CULTIVATE GENUINE COMPASSION, UNDERSTANDING, AND A NONJUDGEMENTAL ATTITUDE, ultimately fostering authentic connections with the young people in your life.
Join us in making a difference!!!
TOGETHER, WE CAN CREATE A SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT WHERE YOUNG PEOPLE FEEL VALUED, UNDERSTOOD, AND READY TO CONNECT.
You will gain an in-depth comprehension of what connection really is, and the profound impact that healthy adult-child relationships have on the overall wellbeing of young people.
Our program focuses on...
I have been immersed in the fields of mindset, life coaching, hypnotherapy, and self-development for 10 years. I initially focused on working with women, offering individual sessions and hosting mindset and mindfulness retreats. However, as my children grew older and began participating in sports, I naturally transitioned to working with youth.
Through my involvement in youth sports, I observed firsthand the mental health challenges and lack of connection affecting young people. In 2015, I began focusing on the impact coaches can have on youth well-being. By 2020, during the isolation period caused by the pandemic, my hypnotherapy clientele shifted dramatically to include over 50% youth clients, highlighting a rapid increase in mental health issues among young people.
Shortly thereafter, I began training parents on mental health and connection. This initiative eventually expanded to the rewarding work I do now with various schools, businesses and teams.
I began my career as an educator but found it challenging to meet the emotional needs of nearly 30 students per class. This led me to transition into mental health and addiction services, where I could work more closely with those struggling. After over a decade of helping adults and adolescents with mental health and addiction issues, I noticed a recurring theme: stories of emotional abuse, neglect, and trauma from home, school, and peers. Despite being from different individuals, the narratives were strikingly similar.
Having an understanding that connection is the opposite of suffering, of addiction, of suicidality, it became a passion for me to create a program that fostered genuine connections among children, peers, and adults. Thus, "ELLO" was born!!!
I have collaborated with schools, wellness organizations, community programs, parents, and foster parents to educate both youth and adults on the principles of Cultivating Positive Connections. I firmly believe in the transformative power of this program and have witnessed its profound impact firsthand.
